Texans Growing with Merge

Waco Texans Soccer Club and Waco HEAT Soccer are delighted to announce that they will be coming together as one. This merger brings together two organizations with a clear and shared vision for player development and the determined drive to become the very best youth soccer development organization in the Waco area.

Waco Texans Director of Coaching Brian Cunningham stated, “At Waco Texans we have always been fully committed to providing the best for our players and their families.  Be that in the best environment, the best development, the best opportunities to progress or the best experience. Because of this focus and the incredible amount of hard work and commitment from all of the fantastic Texan staff we have seen tremendous success across the last 10 years, not only in terms of the growth but also in respect of the number of players who have moved on to compete at the collegiate level.”

The merger will see the organization maintain the Waco Texans name and affiliation under the direction of Brian Cunningham while also adding Samuel Odajima as the Academy Director.

Samuel Odajima said “Waco is full of soccer talent and a passion for the game.  I’m convinced that with our methodology and game model, alongside our phenomenal staff, we will be able to build the smartest and most competitive elite players in the Waco area.

It was very clear to me that joining forces with Waco Texans was the logical thing to do. We share the same vision of working in a future where players have real opportunities to become collegiate players, and professionals, and with reach and history that Texans have, we know that this is sustainable and attainable for our players.”

Waco Texans welcome Waco HEAT Soccer staff, players, parents, and families to our organization.
